Our History

1994: Founding

The group Fiiss du Cents was founded in 1994 by the FNEL with the help of the Melusina troupe from the AGGL. Originally, Fiiss accepted only boys, while the Melusina troupe was for girls. The two groups organised activities together under the name Melusina-Fiiss, sharing leaders but each maintaining their own identity, including separate foulards, uniforms, committees, and even affiliations with two different federations.

1996: Growing

By 1996 the group had 41 active members. "De Fiisschen", the group's own newspaper, was first published and has appeared regularly since then.

2000: Merger with the Etoiles Européennes

In September 2000, the group merged with the Etoiles Européennes, gaining more scouts and cubs and becoming truly international.

2005: Suspension

Unfortunately, a shortage of leaders meant the group had to suspend its activities after 2005.

2013: Relaunch

In the meantime, the two federations had grown closer, and the AGGL made its terrain on the Zens available to the FNEL for building a new headquarters. The old and dilapidated Melusina chalet had to make way for the new building, on the condition that a hall for a local group be included.

At the inauguration of the FNEL headquarters in May 2013, the group was proudly relaunched with the Cub Scout branch, led by two professional cheftaines from the FNEL.

2015: Scout Branch

As the cubs grew older, a Scout branch was established in September 2015.

2022: Explorer Branch

The Explorer branch was added in 2022, completing the current structure of the group.
